What are people disagreeing about in your country? Tell us about one topic.
In the US, people disagree about how people should be taxed. In fact, this is a huge point of disagreement that has been influencing the presidential election. Some people think that the rich people should be taxed a much higher percentage than others. They think these people can afford it better than middle-class people. So, a millionaire would pay 30-40% of his/her income, while a middle-class person would pay 10-15%. They think this is needed to improve the economy. Other people think this will hurt the economy because rich people are often the people who create jobs and fund charities. It's a big debate between Obama and Romney, and whoever can persuade the most people will probably win the election!
In Saudi Arabia, people argue about women driving a car or not. Firstly, people who agree with that should be think it's fine because they are busy and they can let their wives or mothers drive, but our government has been making that rules women can not drive. In SA, men do everything in home and bring whatever women want to let the women just take care of the kids and cook for them. In addition to that, it's part of our religion. Women is something is very significant to us, in other words, No one wants his mother,sister,wife etc, feel tired of driving or anything else. I absolutely disagree with that because I do not my mother or wife gets bother or something like that. I assume that it depends about the culture you live in. In my view, I agree with that women can not drive because we have to respect our religion.
ReplyDeleteOf cause it happened in our country. Because there is a big gap between rich people and poor people. So they would have many defferent opinions in many ways. Like the tax, absolutely rich people agree less tax while poor people think that it should be more tax of high income people. And also some policies about bank. Like the interest rate and how much money you can borrow from the bank. Usually rich peole could borrow much money than poor people. Most finacial policies will cause argument between rich people and poor people.

Deletein Japan, people disagree with rising rate of a consumption tax. the government party want to rise its rate, because budget is not enough to do their policy. however, nowadays, deflation have continued for in the past few years, so average salary has been decrease. however government will force us to pay tax more. the act of being helped our life by government, they require paying money more. next election will be coming soon, how political parties deal with tax rate will be the key to the success.
ReplyDeleteIn my country, Saudi Arabia, the women have to wear the Abaya. Many people are in a disagreement about if a woman should have to cover her body or not. In my religion as well as my country's law, it says the woman has to cover her body and this will show her modesty. My generation of women are starting to feel like they don't want to completely cover their bodies, they are starting to want to show their hair and face. im my opinion the woman show remain completely covered because it's our religion, but only time will tell how my country changes.

in china, people always disagree with whether should send children to kindergarten early. many people think children should be sent early to there because they are so busy ,and they need to pay much attention to their children which make they cannot do want they want. and other parents think teachers in kingdergarten cannot take care of their children,and children always need to seat quiet.
ReplyDeleteIn my country, people pay more attention to education. Many children who live in mountain so they can not get good education. They do not have teachers who have good education. Many people think that children are the hope of country. Besides, we pay taxs to government. hence government should take care of children who do not have good enrivonment. However, they do not want to do it. in our country, we disagree the action of government. (kiki)
